is dedicated to a) implementing management and monitoring activities that will ensure efficient and timely project implementation and b) taking care of responsible data management, legal and ethical issues. It will also guide the cooperation with HFRI.
ONE GREEN Work Plan
The overall work plan of the ONE GREEN project relies on 6 interrelated work packages (WPs) that unfold over 24 months.
WP1: Project management & coordination
WP2: Development of Agroecological Living-Labs in Greece
will plan, implement and evaluate agroecological solutions in 6 LLs co-created with stakeholders across the agri-food value chain, and will generate typologies and methodologies for the experimental research to be conducted throughout the project, based on farmers’ decision-making and perception of agroecology. A Greek Agroecological Network will be developed to ensure the long-term transition of the agri-food sector.
WP3: Empowering the role of humans in the agri-food chain
will identify barriers and needs of humans for the acceptance of agroecological derived products, educate them with a series e-learning material.
WP4: Agroecological transition of the Greek agricultural sector
will develop the ONE GREEN-DSS, a digital toolkit which will act as a ‘One-Stop Shop’ for agroecology in Greece in key farming systems of Greece.
WP5: Caring for animal health & enhancement of biodiversity
will provide case-specific business models and policy recommendations for agroecological adoption.
WP6: Dissemination, Communication & Demonstration
aims to ensure a high level of impact by implementing focused dissemination, communication and exploitation plan leading to enhanced awareness and engagement of all targeted actors to secure wide acceptance and uptake of project outputs.
To achieve this, the project will build its methodology on four pillars:
knowledge base and co-creation activities
within the GAN to benchmark and identify existing needs, barriers and factors affecting farmers decision-making and to construct a robust and fair ecosystem for ONE GREEN activities.
research activities and demonstrations
that will provide scientific and robust evidence of innovative holistic agroecological approaches, including assessments of social, economic and environmental impact, the overall sustainability and performance, as well as trade-off and cost-benefit analyses.
raising awareness
through a series of open access tools for various stakeholders including a digital Decision Support System to assist the long-term agroecological transition of farming systems to improve food security scores of Greece and a virtual educational hub for agroecology, to provide ‘easy-to-adopt’ and ‘custom-made’ guidelines and Best Practices.
scaling-up
of ONE GREEN outcomes through policy recommendations and custom-made business models to boost the agroecological transition of the Greek society and crop production.
